MUFTI OF PERLIS & DR. MASZLEE MALIK VISIT UNIVERSITI MUHAMMADIYAH MALAYSIA TO EXPLORE COLLABORATION IN ISLAMIC HIGHER EDUCATION
Padang Besar, Malaysia – 14 August 2025 – Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM) was honored to receive a courtesy visit from the Mufti of Perlis, Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Dr. Mohd Asri bin Zainul Abidin, accompanied by former Malaysian Minister of Education, Dr. Maszlee Malik, and Vice Chancellor of Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (UniSIRAJ), Prof. Dr. Mohd Rozaimi bin Ramle.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by UMAM Vice Chancellor, Dr. H. Saidul Amin, at UMAM’s main campus in Uniciti Alam, Padang Besar. The meeting served as a platform for discussing potential collaborations in academic development, joint research initiatives, and the enhancement of Islamic higher education in the region.
During the session, both parties exchanged ideas on fostering intellectual exchange, promoting global academic networking, and creating impactful programs that benefit both students and the wider community. This strategic engagement highlights the importance of cooperation between leading scholars, higher education leaders, and institutions in advancing quality education aligned with Islamic values.
