De’ Tjolomadoe, Karanganyar, Bupati of Karanganyar, Drs. H. Juliyatmono, M.M., who attended the opening ceremony of Muktamar Fair & MITE understood half thousand of Muktamar Fair tenants that included Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM) opened from mornings to nights showed the greatness of Muhammadiyah as the biggest organization and known for its independency to strengthen economy and education within the people of Muhammadiyah.

According to Prof. Dr. K.H. Haedar Nashir, M.Si., the presence of expo at Muktamar will expose the community that businesses and innovations in technology, education and economy is a norm form Muhammadiyah. The Head of the organization then reminded the importance of economic strength in influencing people through Da’wah.
UMAM was amazed as by several days the institution was in the middle of more than 500 tenants giving more than 400 goodies at Muktamar Fair. The university brought a new education product in Indonesia which encompasses PhD by research programmes.

With its blue-yellow colors theme, located at Perlis state near Southern Thailand, research-based PhD programmes, and 3-years course, presence of UMAM gave huge attraction to visitors from many backgrounds who passed Zone 1. Delegates also gave light souvenirs to youths such as keychains to those who managed to follow UMAM Official Instagram account @umamuniversiti during the Muktamar Fair.
The 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah & ‘Aisyiyah enlivened the first in history with Muktamar Fair & Muhammadiyah Innovation and Technology Expo (MITE) events at De’ Tjolomadoe Museum from 17th to 21st November, 2022. Visitors from across Indonesia were able to see many innovations of products, associations and institutions nationally and internationally from the community of Muhammadiyah.
Among international delegates who lived up Muktamar Fair are UMAM, and Pimpinan Cabang Istimewa Muhammadiyah (PCIM) from Malaysia and Egypt, in which all of them were located at Zone 1.

UMAM’s appearance at the 48th Muktamar shows that Muhammadiyah is a successful organization in fulfilling top priority mission to internationalize Muhammadiyah within the scope of education. The university as the first campus from Indonesia abroad currently offers five PhD by research programmes; (1) PhD in Business and Management, (2) PhD in Social Science, (3) PhD in Islamic Studies, (4) PhD in Information Technology, and (5) PhD in Education. With its overseas campus and research-based PhD programmes, UMAM and Muhammadiyah will be able to produce higher international collaboration in research and publication, and enhance human resources within Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah & ‘Aisyiyah (PTMA) with global standards.
