
Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM) Welcomes Visit from PDM Rokan Hulu
PERLIS – The Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah (PDM) Rokan Hulu, led by Akhiruddin Nasution, along with his delegation, visited Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM). The visit aimed to strengthen ties and observe the progress of Muhammadiyah in Malaysia, as well as review UMAM’s charitable initiatives in Perlis, Malaysia, on 21 February 2025.
Upon their arrival at Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia, Akhiruddin Nasution and his delegation were warmly welcomed by UMAM’s Rector, Dr. H. Saidul Amin, M.A., along with the university’s leadership and representatives from UMAM’s charitable endeavors. The meeting served as an opportunity to discuss and exchange information on the development of education, da’wah, and social programs carried out by Muhammadiyah in Malaysia.
During the visit, Akhiruddin Nasution emphasized the importance of this visit in strengthening the relationship between Muhammadiyah in Indonesia and Malaysia. He also highlighted the significance of synergy in advancing charitable efforts in education and social fields. “We want to see firsthand the progress of Muhammadiyah in Malaysia and explore opportunities to support each other in enhancing our contributions to the ummah,” he stated.
He also expressed appreciation for the achievements of Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia as an educational institution that promotes progressive Islamic values at the international level. Discussions on potential academic collaborations and the development of educational programs were among the key agendas of the meeting.
This visit is expected to open broader opportunities for collaboration between Muhammadiyah in Rokan Hulu and Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia, particularly in the fields of education, da’wah, and community empowerment.
Through this visit, Muhammadiyah is hoped to further expand and provide greater benefits to the ummah across various countries.
