Songserm Wittaya, February 6, 2025 – Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM) continues to expand its international academic network by establishing a strategic collaboration with Songserm Wittaya Islamic School, Thailand. This initiative is part of UMAM's commitment to strengthening regional education, particularly within the ASEAN region.

The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Letter of Understanding (LOU), which also involved other prominent educational institutions such as Peneleh Research Institute, Politeknik Negeri Malang, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, and several other universities from Malaysia. This initiative aims to broaden students' access to knowledge, academic exchanges, and global learning opportunities.

According to UMAM representatives, this partnership not only strengthens academic ties between the two nations but also serves as a bridge connecting students with opportunities to develop their potential on an international scale.

“We are honored to collaborate with prestigious educational institutions, including Songserm Wittaya Islamic School. We believe that this initiative will greatly benefit students in preparing them for the challenges of global education,” said a UMAM representative in an official statement.

The LOU signing ceremony was attended by representatives from various participating institutions. It is hoped that this collaboration will continue to grow and provide lasting benefits for the advancement of education within the ASEAN region.

May this visit serve as a stepping stone for further academic collaborations and success in shaping a brighter future for education.
