Admission Process
Discover your future at UMAM. Learn about our simple step-by-step application and review system.
Online Admission
UMAM implements an online admission system to help prospective students to apply and to track the application process until receiving the decision from the academic committee.
In our secure online system, applicants can easily submit and track application progress. The offer letter will be available to download once the application is accepted.
Four Simple Steps
Start by creating an account on our Online Admission Portal. Select your desired programme (PhD or Master's) and fill in the application form carefully.
- Academic Transcripts & Certificates (Bachelor/Master)
- Copy of IC / Passport
- Recent Passport-sized Photo
- Research Proposal (for Ph.D. candidates)
Review all details to ensure they are complete and accurate. Upload the required documents, accept the declarations, and click submit. A unique Application ID will be generated immediately for tracking purposes.
Monitor the status of your application in real-time. The portal keeps you updated on review progress (e.g., Document Checking, Interview Scheduling, or Supervisor Assignment). You will receive notifications if additional information or documents are required.
If your application is accepted by the academic selection committee, you will receive an official Offer of Admission. Log in to the online portal to download the Offer Letter, make payments for registration, and prepare for your university enrollment.
Selection Committee Review Path
All applications from candidates will be checked and verified by the academic officer. The selection committee will decide the acceptance of the applicant. The flow process is depicted in the flow diagram below.
Applicant Registers

Upload Documents

Officer Verification

Selection Committee

Review Timeline Note
The selection process typically takes between 7 to 14 working days from the submission date, depending on the completeness of documents and Supervisor matching capacity. Candidates can track status updates directly inside the system dashboard.
